Though this track from Les Savy Fav's soon to be released Let's Be Friends is one big lyrical Prince reference, its actual sonic nostalgia is rooted closer to the present. The sloppy sharp guitars and through a megaphone vocals make it sound like an outtake from the Strokes' Room on Fire. I don't mean that disrespectfully at all, as that was a kick ass record, really. That probably isn't what the cult following wild man Tim Harrington and his crew wanted to hear, however. Learning that the album it's spawned from is just as conservative and relatively subdued might not start a party either.
