If it was ever in doubt, Kevin Drew's new track "TBTF" (from his upcoming solo debut) proves that he was responsible for all the starry-eyed whispy songs on the last couple Broken Social Scene albums. And given the naughty sentiment that the title acronym stands for, I bet he also was responsible for the carnal lyrics of that BSS oral sex ode, "Lover's Spit."
The lazy melody of the song rides over some spacious drumming, layered acoustic guitars and bits of piano. It's all glazed-over mood, with just enough to keep us going 'til the end - a whisp of a song, and that's part of it's charm.
