Track Review: Andrew Bird, "Scythian Empire"
The good folks at Fat Possum Records will be releasing Andrew Bird's next record, Fingerlings 3, in the Spring of 2007 and the first song is up on his Myspace page now. Bird won the uber-coveted Prefix Magazine Best Album of 2005 award for his amazingly crafted Mysterious Production of Eggs. "Scythian Empire" is more instrumental than anything on Eggs but still retains some of that shinny pop polish that made Eggs so darn enjoyable.
