Track From Gorillaz iPad Album Leaked Via An iPad
Damon Albarn has been doing a promo job for Steve Jobs’ company by regularly announcing that the new Gorillaz album was recorded on an iPad. Now, that advertising for Apple has come to bite Albarn on the ass, as a track from his new record has leaked via a clip recorded off someone’s iPad. EMI has moved swiftly to remove all the offending uploads from YouTube and elsewhere on the web, but for a brief period yesterday you could hear “Phoner to Arizona,” which leaked “due to a glitch with the iPad, Google Reader and the Gorillaz Advent calendar” [according to JP's Blog]. Anyone left feeling empty handed by the EMI takedown should head over to that advent calendar, where some free desktop wallpaper is available to download today.
