Tour Cancellation Week Continues, As Mastodon Nixes All Summer Dates
It's already been a big week for tour cancellations, and now Atlanta metal gods Mastodon can be added to the list. Citing a reoccurrence of guitarist Bill Keliher's pancreatitis. A statement released by the band says that doctors are optimistic for a full recovery, and that Keliher looks forward to rejoining the band on the BlackDiamondSkye tour, featuring Alice In Chains and the Deftones, in September. The cancellation news comes just as some speculation was simmering about Brent Hinds' odd behavior at a show in Oakland. Hopefully this is a simple medical issue that will be ironed out and doesn't indicate a deeper rift forming in the band. [Metal Insider]
