Torche Continue Their Reign of Awesome in Studio & Live Settings
Torche’s 2008 album Meanderthal took all willing listeners to a happy fantasy world where unicorns and fire-breathing dragons nestled in loving embrace, lulled by sweet harmonies and amplifier overload. The band’s forthcoming 12” EP/DVD set exists in a fantasy world of its own, one in which Torche are still together with departed guitarist Juan Montoya and two new songs constitute more than enough reason to put out something new.
The vinyl-only release, available on pre-order in threedifferentcolors through Hydra Head, has “Healer” and “Across the Shields” from Meanderthal, plus two NEW songs called "Mash It Up" and "Sugar Glider" (both recorded while Montoya was still a member), plus a bonus DVD with music videos for both “Healer” and “Across the Shields,” plus a pot of gold and a miniature wildebeest named Norman that licks your knuckles if you scratch him between the ears.
Norman and the pot of gold aren’t really part of the deal, but the trio incarnation of Torcheis going on tour with Dredg this April in support of said release and also in support of its overall awesomeness.
