Track Review: Too $hort "This My One" ft. E-40

The new single from Too $hort's new album Get Off The Stage has been dropped. The track features equal parts E-40 and Short; perhaps a wise choice, as E-40's lovably goofy voice has remained intact with age, while Too $hort's smarmy confidence has thinned a bit over the years. The track is strictly club anthem fodder, complete with keyboard bongos, air raid sirens, and 1 bar chorus. While it never strays from the Bay Area formula ("When the thugs in the Bay hear slappin' drum beats / They go in your pocket, snatchin' money") , thats why it's so likable. It's also always nice to hear these guys on the same track (though theres no evidence Short and E-40 were in the same studio when this was made).
