Lately, the big news out of the camp of the recently reunited Black Sabbath is on the band's new album, which they are writing and recording in L.A. with Rick Rubin. However, the band just announced something less bright: Guitarist Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and now the band is going to work in the U.K. to record the album around Iommi's treatments. It's not been announced if Iommi's cancer will prevent the band from playing their scheduled comeback shows this summer. Here's what the band wrote on their Facebook:
"With the news that Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, his bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time. Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan. The Iron Man of Rock & Roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery."
