A 2003 concert benefiting Tibetan refugees will find its way to CD and iTunes July 10 via Anti-. The release will go under the name Healing the Divide: A Concert For Peace and Reconciliation. Featured on the album are performances from Tom Waits backed by the Kronos Quartet with Greg Cohen, Philip Glass performing with Foday Musa Suso, and Anoushka Shankar. All the proceeds from sales of the album will go to Tibetan Health Initiative, started by Healing the Divide, a charity founded by Richard Gere. Each CD purchase will provide a year's worth of health insurance for a Tibetan Buddhist monk or nun.
