Tom Petty Touring Under Heartless Live Nation Banner, But Deigns To Give Serfs Free Album

The Live Nation / Tickemaster monolith is arriving, and, as if to thumb its nose at the world, one of the first acts to be offered is Tom "The Last DJ" Petty and the Heartbreakers. Concert goers who love a Southern accent will probably end up buried to the neck in disguised convenience fees, but at least they'll receive a free digital copy of Mojo, the band's first release in five years. Two songs, "First Flash of Freedom" and "Good Enough," will be available at the time of the ticket purchase, with the rest of the songs coming on the album's release date of June 15. Live tracks from the tour are also being promised as part of the deal, which showcases the marketing synergy promised when the two companies merged.  [Hypebot]
