2006 was a hell of a year for Newmarket, Ontario's Tokyo Police Club. The foursome's debut EP, A Lesson in Crime, was almost universally well received, and the band toured all throughout North America including slots in the Edgefest and Osheaga music festivals. They even received a PLUG award nomination in the "Best New Artist" category. So far, 2007 looks to be big as well. The band will be touring Europe for the first time in February before coming back across the pond for a lengthy North American tour, capped off by an appearance at Coachella. The catch? Those North American dates will be with Cold War Kids. Gotta make sacrifices in the business.
