Tokyo Police Club working on new material

Tokyo Police Club is hard at work putting together its as-yet-untitled debut full-length, according to the NME. The band reportedly spent a week in Toronto recently and put together demos for three or four tracks. According to frontman Dave Monks, we should expect something a little closer to the heart from the band's next release:
"I want it to be more personal and more sincere. There's so much more you can reveal about yourself. The EP was me writing about stuff I thought was cool; this one is more about me. A lot of people who come up with their next effort or their next release say it's more mature. . . . I really don't want this to sound more mature; I think maturity is not the way to go."
Monks also revealed that, although he's thrilled about the buzz A Lesson in Crime received, it's hampered his creative process.
"I can't write on tour. I write when I'm at home. The past year has been really great and thrilling and great in one way, but it's been a barrier between me and writing; all the band seems to do is take me away from writing."
