For all those hopelessly out of touch: Steve Austin (no, not that Steve Austin) is the Steve Albini of the metal world, an enigmatic musical figure who started out playing in a modestly revolutionary band (Today Is the Day, pictured) and then went on to produce countless great acts (Deadguy, Lamb of God, Converge, etc.) while keepining a not-so-prolific recording schedule of his own. Austin's been rather busy of late - he founded SuperNova Records in October of 2006, moved to Nashville, and recorded a new album with his mercurial experi-metal band Today Is the Day, entitled Axis Of Eden, and set for a September 18th release on SuperNova. Now add to the list the inaugural Supernova Records package tour, featuring Today Is The Day (bolstered by man-machine drummer Derek Roddy!), Defcon 4, Christine, and Taipan. Make 'em feel welcome, ya hear? Check the tour dates after the jump.
