Maybe the supposed Saints of Los Angeles truly are saints of their city. Or at least mayor Tony Villar seems to think so. The mayor's office has announced that today (July 31), Los Angeles will be celebrating Mötley Crüe Saints of Los Angeles Day, in honor of their new album of that name released in June. There will be a ceremony at 12 p.m. PST (3 p.m. EST) honoring the band, where they will most likely get keys to the city. According to Gigwise, Mötley Crüe is set to launch a new initiative for rock fans. Does it have to do with making their fans play real guitars as opposed to Guitar Hero? Or possibly Hepatitis C prevention advice? We'll find out soon.

Tony Villar? I didn't know that was his real name...he goes by Antonio Villaraigosa these days. Fascinating! |

Villaraigosa is a joining of his and his wife's last name, no? |

there's something telling in that these comments are about the mayor and not Motley Crue. as such, i feel obliged to say that theatre of pain is their best album. but if you don't care, you are right! |
