Tinariwen Announce U.S. Tour

Mali-based guitar slingers Tinariwen are gearing up for a fall tour of North America to continue pushing their recently released new record, Tassili. This announcement comes on the heels of Four Tet's remix of album highlight "Tenere Taqqim Tossam," a track that features vocals from TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone. The jaunt (sort of) kicks off at the end of September with a gig at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles as part of the Ooh LA L.A. Festival. Then, Tinariwen takes a month off to prep for their proper tour, which begins back in L.A. on Oct. 29.
