Timbaland sets radio spins record
Radio programmers have long believed the 10,000 weekly spin barrier to be unbreakable; a completely untouchable glass ceiling in the national radio market. That was until earlier this year when Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" did 10,092 spins in the week of August 3. Well, another Interscope artist, Timbaland, broke that mark last week with 10,241 radio spins of "Apologize" in the Top 40 market. Fergie and Timbaland mark the only two artists in the 15-year history of the Nielsen BDS chart to crack 10,000 spins with Timbaland taking over as the all-time record holder. Timbaland had previously set a record by having two singles, "The Way I Are" and "Apologize" in the top 3.
