Tim Heidecker, one of the weirdos from Adult Swim’s absurdist-comic variety show “Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!,” is going to make an album. Of music. It’s called Starting From Nowhere, and it’s going to be released under the moniker Heidecker & Wood. The Wood in question is Davin Wood, who composes music for the show. According to the band, the LP will feature "sounds of ‘70s soft rock (Eagles, Billy Joel, Doobie Brothers), singer-songwriters (Jackson Browne, Seals and Croft), and ace studio rock groups (Steely Dan, Queen)." Oddly enough, Rilo Kiley bassist Pierre de Reeder is producing and Rilo Kiley drummer Jason Boesel is drumming on the record. Based on the comedy rabbit hole Heidecker is known for going down, expect this to be a parody of whitey, safe, vanilla, Steve Miller-like rock ‘n’ roll. The tawdry-as-hell album art seems to confirm that. It's out March 22 on de Reeder's own Little Record Company. Check the track list below. [P4k]
