Alice in Wonderland seems like a perfect fit for Tim Burton’s visual style, and moviegoers will have a chance to check out the film when it goes on general release on March 5. Unfortunately, the soundtrack doesn’t look like a good omen for the film, as the director has recruited Mark Hoppus from blink-182 and Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy to collaborate on some music for the feature.
"We did a song for Alice in Wonderland, [and we] might do a few more depending on when [Mark] goes in with Blink," Wentz told MTV News. He claims the song (thankfully) sounds "nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy. It's just for fun. It's not a band or even a project at this state."
The full soundtrack details for Alice in Wonderland haven’t yet been released, but with Avril Lavigne also rumored to be involved, let’s hope it’s a simple money-spinner that will bear little of no relation to the film, and that a familiar Danny Elfman score will dominate the proceedings.

i would take it as a sign of the movie's target audience--teens and tweens, not nerdy indie boys.
