There are still 78 days to go until this year’s Coachella Festival in the desert in Indio, but if you haven’t got a ticket yet then you’re not going to make it out there. Passes for the event have completely sold out according to the official website, which is a remarkable accomplishment considering it was a little over a week ago that the lineup was announced.
Somehow, Coachella has got the key to beating the recession—perhaps it’s the stellar lineup, maybe it’s now regarded as such a reliable “brand” that its familiarity is standing it in good stead. But, whatever the answer, it looks like people are really, really eager to see Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, and the Strokes perform.
All the ticket companies bought up the majority and remarketed the remaining when Ticketmaster sold out........and jacked the price up to $900. That should be illegal.
