How many megastars are left in hip-hop? By megastar I mean an artist that can still go platinum in 2007. I'd say there's only a small handful left, off the top of my head I'm thinking Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Ludacris and T.I. Can T.I. still push a million units? Looks like we'll find out soon as Atlantic Records/Grand Hustle will release T.I. vs. TIP, the next effort from Atlanta's own on July 3, 2007. The album is said to be a concept record that features the two sides of T.I.'s personality and sometimes features both sides clashing on the same track.In advance of the album, the first single "Big Things Poppin" featuring Mannie Fresh will drop on April 17. Speaking to MTV, T.I. said:
"Big Sh-- Poppin' is really just me talking to these people who say things and can't back it up," T.I. said, referring to the song's title as it will probably appear on the album. "You know how some people say, 'Money talks and bullsh-- runs a marathon'? I'm saying the equivalent of that."
