T.I. To Quit Rapping At Forty, Follow Totally Original Career Path To Acting

T.I. doesn’t want to be rapping at forty, saying that even though Jay-Z is having an epic fortieth year he wants to follow another career path:

“If I had the option to [be] Jay-Z [or] Will Smith, I think I’d go with Will. I’m a Jay-Z fan. I have a lot of admiration and respect for Jay and his legacy. But I feel like Will, he gets to spend more time with his family. He gets to be home more and actually raise his kids. I feel like he has more of a home life…and the money don’t hurt. Twenty million dollars a flick ain’t bad.”

T.I. has another decade to make his mark in the rap game, but he had better take a few acting lessons. For every Will Smith or Mos Def, there’s a Vanilla Ice, 50 Cent, Big Boi, Master P, Nas, Ja Rule, DMX or Sir Mix-A-Lot. Who knows, though, maybe rappers are due. [Rap-Up]
