As expected when he took a plea last March on weapons charges, T.I. was sentenced to one year in prison today in an Atlanta court. T.I. has between 30 and 60 days to report to prison to start his sentence.
Last March, T.I. agreed to a plea deal that would require him to do the year in prison, a year under house arrest (which he has done 305 days of) and do about 1,500 hours of community service, of which T.I. has completed close to a 1,000. T.I had faced more than 20 years, so he is getting by with a bargain.
It's still kind of shocking that a person as famous as T.I. could end up behind bars, especially since T.I. spent a lot of time with the community and filming a reality show, Road to Redemption , that had him trying to help change some youth's lives. Even a U.N. ambassador speaking at his sentencing couldn't get him out. [ AP ]

I was thinking/hoping he'd get his time in jail cut down.
