T.I. Heading Back To Jail For 11 Months

It's a sour ending to a triumphant return: T.I. is heading back to prison for 11 months after being convicted of three counts of probation violation. This stems from last month's incident, in which T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, were pulled over in Los Angeles and were found by officers to be in possession of drugs and other illegal substances. U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. (who, incidentally, presided over Tip's 2007 weapons case), denied T.I.'s pleas for leniency. However, things could have been worse. U.S. Attorney Sally Yates was originally gunning to put T.I. in jail for two whole years, but his attorney Steve Sadow was able to work out the final 11-month deal.

According to probation officers, T.I. violated his probation by testing positive for opiates, for being in possession of Ecstacy, and by associating with a convicted felon, who was apparently one of the other passengers in his car last month.

According to TMZ, T.I. must turn himself in within two weeks. No word as to how this will affect the release of T.I.'s still upcoming seventh album, the now unfortunately-titled King Uncaged.
