Indie icon/Sonic Youth ax-slinger Thurston Moore will soon venture out on the road under his own name. He'll be supporting his new solo album trees outside the academy, slated for a September 18 release via his own Ecstatic Peace label. Charalambides chanteuse Christina Carter, who guests on trees, will also be Moore's guest on tour, in two different incarnations. On the East Coast dates, Carter will open with solo sets. The West Coast gigs will feature Carter's side band Scores as the warm-up.
