Thrill Jockey Turns 20 And Wants To Party

The venerated Chicago indie label Thrill Jockey is turning twenty years old, and on the back of recent reissues, the imprint has announced a series of anniversary shows this fall and winter. The shows will feature many on Thrill Jockey's roster: Future Islands, Tortoise, Liturgy, Barn Owl, Trans Am, and recent signing Matmos (whose The Ganzfeld EP comes out October 15), plus many more . In addition, Thrill Jockey will release commemorative posters for the birthday, which you can find here. A limited edition comedy album featuring Fred Armisen is on the way as well, and the label will also launch a series of short videos.
