If you’re not fatigued by grunge nostalgia yet you may want to head over to the End’s website to check out three previously unreleased tracks from the forthcoming reissue of Nirvana’s Nevermind. At this point, 20 years after the album was released, most of the vaults have already been thoroughly picked over for material like this, but here we get a version of “Breed” recorded at Butch Vig’s Smart Studio; a boombox demo of “On a Plain”; and a live recording of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” from the Paramount. This is likely to appeal to collectors only, although the version of “Breed” is worth checking out for its garage-y feel and alternate lyrics. Head over here to hear them.
