Thom Yorke, Mark Ronson, And Others To Contribute To "Silent" Charity Single

· by

November 11, Armistice Day, is the day taken to celebrate the ending of the first World War. Every Nov. 11, those in Britain take time at 11:00 AM to observe two minutes of silence in remembrance of those who died during that war. This year, as part of that event, the British Legion will be making a single available for purchase, the proceeds of which will be used to fund the Legion's support work for soldiers. In an interesting twist, the single, available for purchase Nov. 7, will actually be silent. "Collaborators" for the single include the likes of Thom Yorke, Mark Ronson, British Prime Minister David Cameron and others, who will be participating in the single's video. The above offers a poignant preview. [Pitchfork]
