Thom Yorke celebrates Obama victory by offering "Harrowdown Hill" remix

There are certainly more upbeat ways of celebrating Barack Obama’s presidency than listening to a Thom Yorke track. But perhaps the Radiohead frontman realizes that himself, as he’s given a track from his solo album The Eraser the remix treatment to commemorate Obama’s victoy.

According to a posting on Dead Air Space, the mix has been finished for quite some time, but is being released to celebrate “the dawn of a new era in politics in the USA.” Yorke also mentions that November 5th was Johnny Greenwood’s birthday, and the traditional Guy Fawkes Night in the UK (yay, fireworks).

You can steam the remix of “Harrowdown Hill,” which Yorke says is “a small reminder of the dark days of the Bush’s,” here. Meanwhile, the Guardian is giving away five exclusive remixes of Radiohead's "Nude," which you can stream at their site here.

I love Radiohead, but I want more new songs (for free, of course) and less remixes!

I'm so sick of artists I enjoy being mindless Obama tools.
