One of the weirder things I saw at Lollapalooza a few years ago was that all of the headliners had sign language accompaniment meant for deaf people to "hear" the lyrics. Which to me seemed bonkers, since Interpol's "No I In Threesome" probably sucked harder without the riffs and with hand symbols for the lyrics. But apparently this sort of thing happens a lot, because above is a video of a very, very enthusiastic dude (who looks like maybe he belongs on Glee) doing a sign language version of Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." Apparently deaf people would like to be included in insidious contributions to pop culture too. Too bad this dude can't replicate what it's like to be assaulted by that shriek in every chorus. If he could do that, he'd be the best sign language dude of all time.
