These Are Powers Break Up
A couple of memorial shows were staged in Brooklyn at Death by Audio over the weekend in tribute to the late promoter Ariel Panero. But there was more sad news forthcoming from those concerts: Impose is reporting that the noise/dance crossover trio These Are Powers decided to call it quits at the event.
The band was down to a two-piece of Anna Barie and Pat Noecker for the show, and just went under the name "Powers." They reportedly brought the band to its end by ripping up merchandise and burning it, which sounds like a fittingly raucous way to go out. Watch this space for any further news of new projects by the band members.
