Thermals discusses next album Now We Can See

In an interview with Pitchfork, Thermals frontman Hutch Harris talked about the band’s upcoming album (the follow-up to their Prefix-approved The Body, The Blood, The Machine), and how they may self-distribute the album, since their contract with Sub Pop is up.

“Sub Pop offered us a contract for two more records which we ended up turning down, this was a little while ago,” Harris said. “We had no problems with Sub Pop and we absolutely loved working with them, Kathy [Foster] and I just felt that we needed to go it alone again, for ourselves, for our "art", if even for just a short while. We've considered releasing the record ourselves, or licensing it ourselves to different territories. We are currently talking to many great labels, one of them being Sub Pop. It's still my favorite label.”

Harris also confirmed that the new album will be called Now We Can See, and its track list (in no particular order) is as follows:
When I Died
I Called Out Your Name
When I Was Afraid
Liquid In, Liquid Out
I Let It Go
At the Bottom of the Sea
When We Were Alive
Now We Can See
Dreaming of You (And How We Fade)
You Dissolve

When the album will be out is in question, but Harris reports that the band will be heading into the studio to track the album in August. [Pitchfork]
