The xx Perform At Spin's Offices
Because it totally can, Spin recently got The xx to perform a set of songs from their excellent debut album at its offices. The performances are notable because they are without the heft of Jamie Smith's beats, as Romy Croft and Oliver Sim played as a duo. They run through "Crystalized," "Islands," "Shelter," "VCR" and "Infinity," otherwise known as "the best tracks on the album, minus "Basic Space"". It's austere, haunting, and beautiful.
