The trio behind one of the year’s most anticipated albums, Coexist, is getting a little melancholy. The xx’s Romy Madley Croft recently sat down with NME to talk about the band’s sophomore record.
Madley Croft stated that much of Coexist’s content “is personal, but I’ve been a bit more inspired by things that have happened to other people and putting myself in their shoes. But they’re all love songs and some of them are sadder than others.”
The xx have been working on the follow-up to 2009’s xx since November, with member Jamie Smith acting as producer. Coexist is due out September 10 via Young Turks. [NME]
