Let's be honest, this was a long time coming. The Weeknd and his XO movement have gone major by signing with Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group. The deal will involve the release of Trilogy, a fully mixed and mastered compilation of The Weeknd's three critically acclaimed mixtapes--House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence--on Nov. 13.
In addition to the original 27 cuts, both the physical and digital editions of Trilogy will feature brand new material. It's lead single, "Wicked Games," is expected to hit the iTunes store soon.
