The Walkmen Have Recorded 15 New Songs For New Album

We’ve all sort of grown accustomed to the two year layoff between Walkmen albums that has existed since the band’s first album in 2002, but apparently the band is working faster these days: Less than a year after their transcendent Lisbon was released, the band has already reportedly finished 15 songs for their seventh LP. The band has called in a big gun for this one: Producer Phil Ek, who has worked with Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes and many more, is helming the boards for the band now. The group has been playing many of the new cuts on the road lately, and have plans to hit the studio harder this fall. So it might end up being two years, I guess, but it’s good to know Walkmen are back at it already. [24 bit
