The Verve score number one album (in the U.K.)

The Verve’s new album, Forth, debuted at the top of the British album charts this week, after it moved a whopping 72,000 copies in its first week. The band’s last album, Urban Hymns, also debuted at number one with 250,000 copies sold.

It’s unlikely Forth will debut as high stateside, with albums like The Game’sL.A.X., and the Jonas Brothers’ A Little Bit Longer predicted to still top the charts. [Billboard]
