I know you're too busy photoshopping iPads, but Sundance Film Festival is going on, and they are showing the movies you'll be ignoring next fall while you're seeing Transformers 3: The Squeakquel. The movie with the most buzz is Blue Valentine, starring Ryan Gosling, that is about the disintegration of a marriage and features an original score from Grizzly Bear.
But the Grizz aren't just catching mad flavor from scoring that movie; their music is also featured heavily in Jack Goes Boating, the directorial debut from Philip Seymour Hoffman. Jack features upwards of five Grizzly Bear songs in the soundtrack, which seems like a perfect number for a movie about two New York couples, which is what the movie is about.
Basically, Grizzly Bear are the only musical act that matters at Sundance right now. My money was on Ke$ha. [Pitchfork]
