None of the 32 welterweights who will be vying for the 16 available spots on the 16th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show are household names, but history dictates that at least one of them will rise to become a legit challenge to Georges St-Pierre's strangehold on the division.
The first 15 seasons of the show produced a slew of notable UFC stars, including former champions Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans and Matt Serra, along with top ten contenders like Josh Koscheck and Ryan Bader.
Season 16 features 30-year-old Las Vegas native Bristol Marunde, 25-year-old Goon Squad combatant James "Off The" Chaney and dozens of other possible future stars.
The new season begins Sept. 14 on FX, with a two-hour premiere airing at 9 p.m.
Episode No. 1 will determine which of the 32 fighters will make it into the TUF house, and the 13 weeks that follow will culminate with a grand finale on Dec. 15 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Heavyweight sluggers Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson will serve as coaches, and will fight each other at the "TUF 16" finale on Dec. 15. Follow this link for a full list of the 32 welterweights on the "TUF 16" roster.
