The Twilight Sad Robbed

In a post on the band's MySpace page early on Sunday, the Scots of the Twilight Sad wrote out a facetious thank you note to a pair of men who apparently put on fake police uniforms, pointed guns at the band, stole the band's money, hid the keys to their van, and threw their passports onto the road.

While many bands, from At the Drive-In to Sonic Youth, have had the misfortune of their equipment being stolen from their vans, this accosting of The Twilight Sad seems to be particularly malicious, if only for its apparent random and petty nature. Maybe buying more copies of their new album, Forget the Night Ahead, will help them out? [Stereogum]
