The Thermals Prepping New Album For 2013

It’s been almost two and a half years since The Thermals released their fifth studio album, Personal Life, and today the band announced that it has finished recording its follow-up. Though the title and label of the upcoming LP have yet to be released, we do know that it was recorded by John Agnello (Dinosaur JR., Sonic Youth, Hold Steady) at Water Music in Hoboken, NJ and is set for a Spring 2013 release.

The Thermals describe the new album as “Everything Thermals fans know and love about this band. It’s like a cross between two of our best-known and -loved records, More Parts Per Million and The Body, The Blood, The Machine. It’s loud, fast, incredibly scary and undeniably catchy.”

    We’re sold.
