The Strokes Releasing New Single Tomorrow
Tomorrow, Feb. 9, we’ll get the first hint whether or not Angles will live up to The Strokes’ legacy. The wayward New Yorkers are set to release “Under Cover Of Darkness,” the lead single from their new record, as a free download tomorrow on their website. The download will be available for 48 hours (expect to give up an email address), and then the song will be hitting iTunes Feb. 15. Rolling Stone posted a review of the track back in January. Apparently it sounds a bit like “Someday,” which certainly isn’t a bad thing. It’s hard to believe we’re on the precipice of a new Strokes album and that tomorrow we’ll all be listening to a new Strokes track. 2011 is crazy already.
