The Strokes And Queens Of The Stone Age Join Pearl Jam's Twentieth Anniversary Festival

Pearl Jam is turning twenty this year, and the band is celebrating with a two-day festival in scenic East Troy, Wisconsin over Memorial Day weekend. Already on the bill were luminaries such as Mudhoney, John Does, and Liam Finn. There were rumors, however, that bigger acts were offing, and Eddie Vedder doesn't like to disappoint. The Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age will be playing, rounding out what is sure to be two fun-filled days of forty-something guys given a weekend off to, you know, rock like the old days. Even if this doesn't sound like the ideal scene, it will be Pearl Jam's only stateside performance this year. Otherwise, fans will have to travel across the border to Canada to get their grunge/dad rock. [One Thirty BPM]
