The Strange Case of Chuck Biscuits' Supposed Death

Chuck Biscuits, a drummer who played with Black Flag, Social Distortion, and Danzig, died today at the age of forty-four after a prolonged battle with throat cancer. The only problem with writing Biscuits' obituary is that he might not actually be dead. After the story ran on NME, NPR, and Entertainment Weekly, chatter started in the blogosphere that the death might actually be an elaborate hoax. Though there are still some reports to the contrary, it seems that Biscuits does have cancer, but that he did not succumb to it. Hopefully this story turns out to be a misunderstanding rather than a hoax; that's the kind of karma nobody needs to be carrying around. [The Daily Swarm]

the problem with this story is that nobody who is a real journalist has done any work on the story.

Thanks, Robotica. As if having to pay full price for breakfast cereal wasn't bad enough.
