The Smoking Gun releases M.I.A. and Rage Against the Machine’s tour riders

The Smoking Gun has a recurring feature where they reveal the details of famous musician’s tour riders, and today they’ve uploaded copies of M.I.A. and Rage Against the Machine’s riders.

Typically, releasing tour riders is meant to expose how decadent musicians want to be treated, but it in M.I.A.’s case, it mostly just reveals a need for a whole lot of booze (a bunch of beer for three dressing rooms) and a need for lockable door handles instead of padlocks on dressing rooms. The only random item is the fact that M.I.A. demands a variety of cheese backstage.

In Rage Against the Machine’s case, however, the tour rider exposes that they tour with an impossibly large entourage (like 50 people), and they demand 6 pairs of boxers and socks for each performance.
