The Smashing Pumpkins' Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Will Consist of 44 Free Internet Songs

Billy Corgan has announced that the new Smashing Pumpkins album will feature 44 songs individually released on the Internet. Corgan plans to begin putting out the songs of Teargarden by Kaleidyscope around Halloween of this year. Sales, he says, will come from limited edition EP’s and, after all songs have released, a deluxe box set.

Teargarden by Kaleidyscope is based on the Tarot and consists of such archetypes as the Child, Fool, Mystic and Skeptic. Corgan claims to have written 53 songs thus far for the album, four of which have been recorded. [Tiny Mix Tapes]
