The Shins Working On New Album
Last summer, James Mercer revealed that he would return to the studio to work on new Shins material once he "gets some time off." If you have been following how often he has been touring and recording with Danger Mouse as Broken Bells, it wouldn't have been a stretch to assume that "time off" hadn't happened yet. Well, apparently it did. During a solo performance last month, Mercer announced that The Shins are working on a new project. And he even premiered a new, untitled track from the band with Joe Plummer, also of the Shins, on percussion duties. You can hear the new track in the above video.
