The Shins Debut New Song (Video)
The Shins are currently on short tour across North America, which sees them debuting a new line up of the band. We’ve already heard a cover of David Bowie’s “Ashes to Ashes” that’s being performed on this jaunt, and now comes a new song that sounds like it’s probably titled “Taken for a Fool.” This is a shaky-cam audience clip, but the audio gives you a reasonable idea of how it sounds. Essentially it’s the kind of melancholy song that James Mercer and his band have executed so well over the years, but there’s no new album from the group slated until next year, so it’s going to be a while to see if this is indicative of the direction they are currently pulling in.
