The Roots to Play It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back with Public Enemy at Roots Picnic

A lot of people were worried that since the Roots signed on to be Jimmy Fallon’s house band, they’d be less likely to play live and record new material. The legendary Philly crew isn’t taking much time to prove that wrong–the group has announced the line-up to its annual Roots Picnic, and among a pretty impressive line-up, is the news that the Roots will be backing up Public Enemy as they perform It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back in its entirety. I am curious as to how well the Roots can pull off the the album, but if it’s anything like their work backing up Jay-Z at Unplugged, it should be incredible.
