The Roots are recovering in France in relatively good health after their tour bus flipped over en route to a performance in Paris on November 19. The group’s bus flipped over when a van crashed into it and went underneath it, but the band escaped mostly unscathed. In fact, ?uestlove was able to blog on Twitter from the back of an ambulance. Here’s what he wrote:
"in reality the crash was all of about 7 seconds….but to do a 360 on the highway and end up ramped up (the van that crashed into ours was UNDER our double decker bus) in the air….is….well… a frigging miracle." As he writes elsewhere, "dog we are soooo alive right now."
"That was divine intervention. we are so grateful for this outcome”
The band was forced to cancel their show in Paris last night, but there is no word whether there will be any more cancellations. A time like this sure would make taking that rumored Jimmy Fallon gig seem more alluring. [Pitchfork]
