In light of their 50th anniversary, The Rolling Stones are prepping a new book to be released on July 12, exactly 50 years after the band's first gig. Aptly titled The Rolling Stones: 50, the tome will included 700 photos and illustrations as well as comments and writing from members of the band. "This is our story of 50 fantastic years," the band said in a statement at Amazon UK, where the book is available for pre-order. "Written by us, curated by us, [the book] features the very best photographs and ephemera from and beyond our archives." From where we're sitting, 50 sounds fairly similar to the band's 2003 retrospective According to the Rolling Stones, albeit with far more photos.
